Mostly rhodes through some pedals.
A handful of drum samples smashed together.
An overdriven Operator holding down the bassline.
For this one, I ended up using the DrumBrute - messing the the knobs with one hand while I arpeggiated the keyboard with the other. Then I threw some funky Moog on top and a sampled water bottle. Weird stuff!
Mooooore nooooiiiiise! No instruments, just feedback from the Magnetar into The Pipe and then physically feeding it back into the Magnetar.
Hey there. I’m getting the “sorry, you can’t post a link to that domain” issue
Day 12. Whew…this one was a work out for my fingers! Took me a few takes to get it close to the time, and though it isn’t perfect, I’m still pretty happy with it.
This composition features piano, synth and a simple beat - a nod to Switched on Bach and Switched on Classics albums from the 80’s. ![]()
Prompts used:
Mood: Urgent · BPM: 145 · Key: C# Minor · Color: Coral

Made with: OPXY (drums, chords, twinkly voice), Ona (horn sounding voice), Plaits ( complex voice), Oxi Meta, Erica synths dual fx, OXI one MK2 (brains).
Put down a chord loop and then got lost for a few hours patching different voices. So in the end, I would describe this composition as: auditioning voices for lead and playing with transition sounds and buttons between.
Thanks Carf! This is sort of like a loop but it decays away over time. Originally started by Robert Fripp hence the name. He used two reel to reel tape recorders to achieve what can be done now with a pedal! I have an old Behringer MIDI controller with full size keys, a korg nanokey, a novation launchkey mk II and several self made controllers. The Keystep mk II has a great keybed and some very useful features. Very happy with it.
I do love some Rhodes! Very cool funky track. Well done!
Very cool noises here. ![]()
Recorded this one yesterday but could only bounce it today. More Deluge!
Very cool! I love the many synth lines working through it. Cool sounds too!
Okay, so I got completely stuck with this one. I met with 2 friends to do the jam, they tried some lyrics and I tried some instrumental ideas. We didn’t get very far and when I wanted to finish it afterwards, I struggled a lot refining the lyrics and adding new ones, so much so that this task blocked my process for 2 weeks. ![]()
I guess, in total, I sat 8 hours just in front of the text alone … I’m really not good with lyrics, but I want to learn, so I’m glad I didn’t give up!
We took Brian Funk’s prompt:
Day 12: “Speak It”
● Activity: Start your track with spoken words. Let them guide the mood.
● Philosophy: “The story is key — what makes this human and real?
And then the title, key, tempo and mood from here.
The song actually is about my current situation (giving up my job, home and relationship). And I never used as much automation lanes as in this track (27^^).
