Day 15 - a bit of departure from what I usually do. This is an experimental sound design piece, using various VSTs to creatively recreate the sound of static between radio stations but in a sort of noisy ambient form.

I’ve been jamming every day, but not getting video each time. Massive snow day in Toronto yesterday, which allowed me to reconfigure my studio to incorporate my 3 x Kaoss Pad chain again (routed from the Submix out on the Model 12, and back in to the mixer on its own channel, with the whole mixer paired with the MPC Live II)

The clip came up in my Facebook feed. I cut out questions from the interviewer to make it seem more like a monologue.
It goes on for another minute, with the end of the story where she’s released the next day. By cutting this I missed out the excellent line “I had implicit faith in the British consul”. But I thought that the line about communism was a nice place to end.
very cool find. It makes me wonder if BBC or other outlets have any audio archives online that might be worth plundering for ideas…

The text is about starting something new that seems easy (german: einfach) but is not easy to go through with.
