My studio is still work in progress (aren’t they all?), but it’s getting there. I’m happy to finally have a space to make music:
Cosy @beto ! Great that you have a place for yourself now, still wonder how you managed to even run this event last year. Now go and make awesome projects in that place!
@ JoeL8X seems like a fun place and much more organized than mine. I’m also drooling over your Microcosm. That little thing can make even a fart sound cinematic!
Meanwhile my studio is still filled up with tons of trinkets which inspire me like they are library books from Minecraft, for some it’s way to chaotic but for me it’s just perfectly fine as every single thing has a reason why it inspires me.
These are very cool! @beto yours is so neat! Mine is just an unorganised mess!
That’s just cause 90% of my stuff is in storage in California!
(I moved to an RV in 2023, planning to travel for 1 year, so I put most of my stuff in storage. For some unexpected reasons I ended up buying a small condo in Florida, and I don’t have space for everything. )
90% of my stuff is in my studio…
Delays, or multi-FX that have delay. There’s also a rack Maxon delay from the 80s. It’s a sickness and yes, I want more. The two rack TC Electronic M300’s also have delays. There’s two Boss multi-fx units that have delay too, ME-50B, and ME-80.
I always love seeing people’s setups.
@beto what is that monster Tascam on the desk?!
I’m not going to bother cleaning up… if I have to deal with the mess that is my patch bay so do you!
I’ve been at my place about 2.5 years and I think I’m on like studio iteration 5 or something. Feels pretty good with how I have it set up now, but as always… we’ll see.
That’s a Tascam 388, an 8-track recorder that uses reels. I"m repairing it, and the plan is to record an album on it.
My partner calls is “Big Bertha”.
Exactly like I expected it to be, you always liked it more minimal, just like the parties we attended way back
My messy studio:
About to break part of it down to host Open Mic and Karaoke Night at a local pub. Hopefully I get it set back up in time to get Day 5 done!
That is at least 50% more space than I have and I think I should be very happy with the lacking of more room cause I would have filled it all up!
Funny enough I only konw the right part form your video’s and streams
Seems like a very cosy place that truly comes to life when the lights are dimmed.
Sometimes I wish I had a set up like this instead of all this stuff. Perhaps I’ll simplify in the future. Nice digs!
Awesome! Do you have cliff notes on what you like about each one?
@immaculate_abyss great to see the Solar 42F and Pulsar-23 side by side in another setup. I love running the Solar sequencer CV to an attenuator on Pulsar and then running that straight or inverted to a few destinations for mad one-knob fun!

Other room with guitar/bass rig:
@Mshns yes, certainly! You have some nice gear there, and I dig the hardwood floors. I like seeing people’s studios because sometimes I get ideas. and GAS! hahah! I built out the rack for my ikea table a couple years ago after seeing some other set ups and realized it would really make a difference for me. Last year it was the laptop stands.
@beto love those shelves. Are they sliding shelves? I imagine recording on that Big Bertha would be nice, but I expect keeping a machine like that going over time may be a pain. I bought a Tascam Porta 03 years a couple years ago for FAWM and I haven’t really used it much due to it being a little wonky. I used to have a Porta 07 and remember it running very smoothly albeit that was around 1997.
@JoeL8X that setup is like a spaceship cockpit. Or should be.
@CarfDarko How do you like the Ambient Zero? And is that the Terminator?
@immaculate_abyss Your set up is just awesome. If I can ever afford one, the Solar 42 is on my bucket list.
@MyopicMycelium So much space! Does that guitar on the right have tuning machines?!
