47 seconds is what I got as my plans to revisit this and flesh it out were dashed by a catastrophic lightning cable disaster due to stupidity so I didn’t get a chance to revisit this later in the day as I had hoped (the iPad is old and has terrible battery life).

Back again for another year! Here’s my composition for Day 1. I used the following from the prompt: BPM: 109 · Key: B Minor · Phrase: The last train leaving the station.
Composed and recorded in Logic Pro.
I used a couple of train audio files from freesounds.org for the background sounds:
OP-XY (drums, Chords, and sequencer), OP1 (Bass Voice), Modular Synth Voice and FX (ONA oscillator, Erica Synths - Dual FX, Black Dual VCF, and OXI META )
@Yuteimusic sensing some Amiga vibes, not sure if it is intended or just me lol
Great vibes and wonderful start of the jamuary month!
@FriendlyVisitor love how you took the prompt on such an alternative way, inspiring!
Omnious vibes that makes me wonder where that last train is headed.
What did you use for this jam?
@elektronaut Welcome to the club, great start with a chill and nicely storytelling jam filled with tons of layers.
@Soupoclap ow man that first kick, I was hoping that it would return later but instead you already know how to take us on a trip this very first Jamuary. Omnious, atmospheric and unpredictable, exactly like how I expect your work to be.
@erothyme welcome to the group, it seems it have worked out. Love the jam and the visuals, keep them coming!
@Yuteimusic Nice work, the Behringer Wasp seems like an interesting synth and I like the little sweep you do with it in the end of the jam.
@sunblogger Nice jam, the mix sounds neat and I love the percussive pops.
@banalytic Very nice. Interesting sounds and textures and quite relaxing to listen to.
@dreamindani Lovely jam. Warm and laid back, just what I need on a rainy day like it is now in NL
@muezig I don’t have the time to listen to the whole jam today but it sounds like you got some nice grooves going on. I like the gnarly bass, and the ambient texture that comes in at some point adds a nice contrast to all the distorted sounds.
@elektronaut Very nice, great composition. Nice glides in the bass.
@CarfDarko Cool jam! Love the playful bassline and brass in the end
@Soupoclap Great atmosphere and sounds. The bursts of white noise in the end are a nice touch, they remind me of closing doors on a train.
@Vidar Nice jam! I like how yo play with the decay of the sounds in the middle part.
@erothyme Very nice. A lot of lovely sound design and nice bass too.
@Gubna Really nice! I’m really feeling the groove in this jam and love the psychedelic vibe.
@MattSpringer Nice jam, the combination of jazzy chords and airy synths is very pleasant.
@beto First of all thank you for hosting this Jamuary again. And solid jam. I’ll have to listen to it again some time to see if I can recognize the score sheet in the modulation. The downsampling on the lead really adds to the vibe.
@AndyAffleck It might be shorter than intended but it’s definitely powerful. Great guitar sound.
@DroneSinger I love the melancholic vibe of your jam. The train samples are a nice touch.
@immaculate_abyss Very interesting! I love the combination of acoustic and electronic sounds. And nice texture too.
@mmk230 Nice work. Neat how you emulate a train with the shaker sound. I also really like your bass sound and nice vibe in general.
@daveyc I love the heaviness of your jam, and the vocals work great in it.
@AmethystSWitch Nice jam. Very dreamy. Did you do the vocals yourself?
@Syhr_Samoht Very nice. I love the vocal(?) pads and the detuning of the guitar really add to the vibe.
A great first day of Jamuary for everyone. It’s going to be hard to find enough time give all jams the attention they deserve, but keep’m coming for sure!

I recorded everything in Bitwig and did no post processing except normalizing the exported file.
As for the Prompt I used the first two track of the score for drums/bass, the bpm/key, and of course the phrase. I kept the mood and color in mind but it didn’t really influence my choices, and completely ignored track 3/4 of the score
