totally ignored the prompt today so I could play around once again with the JE8086 VST complimented by the Roland System1 at the final 32 bars, its FREAKING AWESOME!! Samples from the game Burn:Cycle
Not an original song but it’s been a long day and I needed something I already knew how to play. This is a classical guitar cover of the song Merry-go-round of Life from Howl’s Moving Castle: Jan 24.mp3
I recorded it with both a direct line in and a microphone over the sound hole to see if I could better capture the feeling of being in the room.
Made with: Tried to keep this one much more simple. Pretty much just the Ona in a complex bass voice drone and plaits on the arp/lead. Used the Disting EX for the granulator, Erica synths dual fx for reverb and pitch shifter(on plaits towards the end), oxi meta for the risers and the spacey reverb at the end. I did end up using the OP1 for a single voice occasional one note pluck, and the OPXY for a random perc one shot. No brains on this one, just the hold function and arp on the Keystep pro, and a bunch of knob turning. Worth mentioning one of the modular utilities, Zadar, which gave some complex waveforms for the bass and the slow washes of the riser fx.
