This is my fifth Jamuary, and I am surprised each year how strong the emotions that crop up on the last Jam are. I have been inspired all month by the amazing talent here and savor the camaraderie it feels like the last day of summer camp… Thank you @beto for keeping this going!
Stayed up late (early?) for this Jam, cuz I will be out of range of civilization in the snow the rest of the weekend… Felt compelled to put some vocals in this one, so I used some lyrics I never finished earlier this month…so the lyrics might be about a “window left open”, but they were the “fragments” I put together for this jam. Pretty raw, since I didn’t have time to rehearse or even establish the melody…. but that felt right for Jamuary.
Made with: Oxi One MK2 (brains), OP1 (strings), OPXY (drums, chords), ona (bass), plaits (complex voice), Roland E-4 (vocals reverb), Erica Synths Dual FX (delay, reverb), Expert sleepers disting ex (granulator on plaits), oxi meta (space reverb), mixed on Tx6.
Well, it was an absolute pleasure to participate for the second time this year. Please excuse that i didn’t comment a lot on all your fantastic jams. I had lots of fun jamming and was not mad on the days i couldn’t. So enjoy my last jam which wants us make dancing in the kitchen. Have a great year.
This feels like a worthy finale of my 2nd Jamuary. Far from perfect but I really enjoyed making it.
I’m grateful for everyone who participated, and of course special thanks for our host @beto.
It’s going to be strange not having the ‘mandatory’ daily jam from now on, but there are quite some chores and other stuff I postponed this month so it will be good to spend some energy on them. Also, there will be plenty of jams I haven’t heard yet waiting for me in the next days.
Aaaaaand there we have it! A noisy industrial beat for my 31st and final jam of the month. I almost can’t believe I managed to do this all the way to the end, it was definitely hard at times. I’m glad I did it though as I’ve learned a lot.
I’ve really enjoyed participating and listening to everyone else’s jams this month. I’ve heard so much great stuff from all of you, even if I wasn’t able to say much other than “sounds nice” (I’m terrible at coming up with things to say about music!).
One last long one iOS Patterning playing two separate versions of tankdrums (or whatever they’re called). I didn’t use all my gear this month, but I did use a lot! I’ve still got a few hours but that’s it for Jamuary!
@mmk230 also my 5th this year first time was when I started building my hardware studio after years of software and it became one of those yearly challenges for myself that just became part of the hobby. I really felt like going out this year with a blast, it’s like trying to go out one last time and then a nice little break. Writing this while listening to your jam and it feels like it is answering the song. Hope you had a great Jamuary, haven’t been very social this year, life drains energy, but happy to be hear, and thanks for sharing your final jam, keep up the creativity!
@sunblogger Feeling your message, same over here, the other years I was way more active socializing but life right now is hectic.. But sharing the jams felt like part of the game this month. Congratz on the final one, feeling a lovely lot of 80s vibes in your jam, keep up the creativity in 2026!!
@FriendlyVisitor Congratz in finishing your second Jamuary It was a hectic one for me, would have loved to be more social, but it was awesome to once again share this creative space with you. Writing this while listening to your final one which has a nice build up taking me places like it truly is a final time visiting, for now. Keep up the creativity in 2026!
@Soupoclap One last ride this year, hope you had a good Jamuary! Got some to check on the backlog that I am going to take my sweet time for the next few days as I really can use a creative break
Great final ride, hope to meet again Jamuary2027 over here my old friend
