Didn’t have much time or energy today so just knocked out a quick jam with the Terra & Cosmos.
Lovely plinky sounds and then all is disturbed! Very dramatic. ![]()

Running a little late but determined to keep up!
this is a little minimal on spots, it’s the first beat I’ve sequenced in Koala and exported to Logic Pro…lots more to learn there.
you all sound great!
This was almost finished on time but I decided to go to bed rather than finish it off, then I messed around with it today instead of working on today’s track…
This was a tough one. I took both the prompts from here and from Brian Funk:
Day 9: “Imperfect Loop”
● Activity: Play or record a loop without quantizing. Let the human timing shape the
groove.
● Philosophy: “Perfection destroys authenticity.”
I started by scrolling through my many old loop-station loops and wanted to use one or two of them. But then it felt increasingly uncool to just take an old creation of mine and name it a jam. I didn’t want to try to redo the thing, so I gave up the idea and intended to create a new loop instead. The first try was guitars only, and I wasn’t happy with it. So after a while, I gave that idea up as well and started over. Now I came up with a chord progression I really liked, was quite hyped, but then struggled to find a matching bass sound and some electronic keys sound. I kept looking and experimenting for over an hour, after which I gave up a third time, tired and frustrated.
The next day, I had a hard time getting back to it, since all my motivation was gone. I forced myself to do something, installed a new bass instrument which worked okay, did the electric-piano part with low expectations, added some drums (with weird mapping, so I couldn’t use my e-drum kit, idk) and finally integrated the earlier-discarded guitar ideas.
I’m think it is at least an OK jam, so I finally can go to bed. ![]()
Koala is a cool little sampler. Maybe one day I’ll get into it.
Sounds like a great start.
Sounds great. Glad you didn’t give up! I do like some guitar…
