Jamuary is an early event that happens in January. Musicians all over the world challenge themselves to record and share a jam every day of the month. During January we’ll have daily threads in the Jams category where you can post links to your jams, so other people can listen and comment.
Yes I just joined so I can be part of Jamuary. I’m a guitarist and I don’t use loopers or effects, just different guitars and different styles of playing so I will probably make an Instagram post and then share it here. I better get busy because it’s already 11pm
Apologies guys but I’m having to drop out. I’ll try again next year but I’ve taken on too much this year and it’s proving tricky to find the time to get stuff down that I actually like. I wish you all the best of luck.
Yeah, when I first hosted the website for Jamuary we did a poll and people asked for the songs to be deleted after the event. So I deleted the songs and then deleted the old posts since they didn’t seem relevant.
Is there any post in particular you wanted to see? Moving forward should we keep the old posts, should I restore the posts that were deleted? I have no strong opinions on this.
Oh no. That’s cool! I have copies of all my old songs. It’s just that deleting the posts makes this community look inactive and I wanted to link to it for some folks who were interested
I mean, it would still look inactive since we haven’t had posts since February! But maybe I should’ve kept the General categories and only removed songs from the Jams categories.
Soon we’ll be jamming like crazy! Just finishing my new space for creating music. Not exactly a studio as I live in a compact apartment. But a shelf in a corner filled with my synths I startesnmy synth journey 1,5 years ago and been trying to find ideal setup for my workflow. I think I’m getting near.
Still need to make proper template for Deluge and I can concentrate purely on composing, not fiddling around in Deluge.
